AEDs can make a difference during cardiac emergencies. Always call 911 first. Once first responders are on the way, you can do more to help save a life with an AED from one of the campus locations.
AED Locations
Missouri S&T recently completed the first phase of an AED distribution plan to get AEDs in as many campus buildings as possible. As a result, 33 AEDs have been deployed, not including AEDs that were previously located in the Gale Bullman Building, the Havener Center, University Police and Student Health.
Using an AED
AEDs are simple to use and include step-by-step instructions to lead anyone through using one. The AEDs on S&T’s campus are the Zoll AED 3. The video below shows a brief demonstration of how to use the AEDs. The videos will allow you to become more familiar with the AEDs on campus, but they are not a substitute for receiving CPR/AED training from a certified instructor.
